Computer Systems Support

Due to growth and rapid internal promotions Winchester-based Financial IT company MBA Systems has vacancies for Support personnel within its Production Systems team.

MBA designs and operates trading systems on behalf of leading banks and stockbrokers. The Production Systems team is responsible for all customer-facing issues including problem solution, system maintenance and monitoring.

Responsibilities include:

• Customer liaison
• Problem solving
• Fault logging and tracking
• Systems support

Successful candidates will report to the Production Systems Manager.

This job requires an interest in computer systems, an excellent telephone manner, an enquiring mind and a feel for detail. An ability to act on your own initiative is essential.

Career development via technical, commercial or administrative roles can develop from experience within Production Systems.

Operations Manager

Strongly growing Winchester-based Financial IT company MBA Systems wants to add to its operational support team by appointing a Manager to head its System Engineering and Support teams which are responsible for installing, maintaining and supporting servers and communication networks within the company and between the company and its clients.

MBA designs and operates systems on behalf of leading banks and stockbrokers. The Operations department consists of an Engineering team responsible for the implementation of technical infrastructure and a Live Systems team responsible for all customer-facing issues including the provision of Helpdesk facilities.

Responsibilities include:

• Technical infrastructure strategy
• Recruitment and development of Operations staff
• Development and maintenance of security policies
• Ensuring customers receive high quality service
• Establishment of procedures to underpin smooth operation of the department

This exciting opportunity will suit an ambitious technically experienced individual with experience in most of the following areas:

• Active Directory, DNS, EXchange, IDS, Cisco Pix, Networking, TCP/IP,VPN
• Windows 2003, IIS, Cisco Routers/switches, Mimesweeper, knowledge of Backup Strategies, Disaster Recovery and SAN's.

MCSE/Cisco accreditation would be helpful.
