Client Reporting Now Available On PDA Devices

26 February 2010

MBA Systems
Portreport

MBA Systems has launched Portreport, the first service specifically designed to enable investment and wealth managers to deliver summary client valuations and reports, securely to portable handheld devices, such as an Apple iPhone®, BlackBerry® and Motorola MilestoneTM.

The new facility is an extension of MBA’s existing Speedreport client reporting service, which produces comprehensive and detailed client communications, customised to a firm’s corporate identity. Highlights from these reports can now be delivered for the first time to a private investor’s PDA device and then viewed in the same corporate format, clearly and easily. Portreport enables the information to be received at any time and in any place in the world.

Secure access to the information is assured by a user password. Further security and anonymity can be achieved by the PDA’s report being addressed to an alias of the client’s choice. Its contents can be a summary of the recipient’s investment portfolio or a specific aspect of it. This can be, say, a summary valuation, confirmation of a specific transaction or the display of portfolio performance. Reports can be several pages so can include various aspects of an investor’s portfolio. Typically, the Portreport summary will consist of a number of screen images containing both text and graphic material such as pie or bar charts.

Portreport complements MBA’s Speedreport facility, which rapidly processes and renders high volumes of client reports for both printing and electronic display, whilst significantly enriching their appearance. Investors can now enjoy the convenience of receiving a summary report, tailored to their particular needs on their PDA wherever they are and then study a detailed Speedreport valuation when they are able to access their computer or receive a paper based document.
